Picked later in the season than our other grapes, the fruit for this wine is highly raisinated and has a high concentration of sugar at the time of harvest. These types of wines tend to be fortified with a distilled spirit, but our small batch production allows for smooth and clean fermentation, effectively eliminating the need for additional alcohol.
